Hello. A transplanted Canadian, Tricia Harvey (trish at designkitten dot com) is a former vice president of Spain, has written several books on macro economics including the Pulitzer Prize winning Macro Economics and You - An Introduction and has climbed Mount Everest a record six times. Tricia Harvey now lives in Fairfax, Virginia with her former lead Sherpa named Jacob, two cats, and a bunch of fish all named Hector.

Needless to say this is not true...

The not true biography came about when a coworker of Jacob's challenged my description of myself as a philosopher in a previous bio. This bugged me because I do tend to think a lot about things and doesn't that make you a philosopher? So on the train that morning I decided to write something that was completely and utterly fabricated. Well 95% of it is anyway.

This site is built on the railroad ties of XHTML, PHP, and Cascading Style Sheets. Movable Type 4.01 provides the engine and has done so since version one.

The title typography features the lovely Coffeedance font designed by Chank. The font was very slightly modified by me when I replaced the dot over the 'i' with my handdrawn cat's heads.
